Little Rock Action Academy
Every day, our elected officials make important decisions on things that impact you and your family. So naturally, you want to have a say, right? But what can you do – besides voting – to make sure your elected officials are listening? How can you be sure they know what YOUR priorities are? How can you get informed, get engaged, and make them LISTEN?
At AACF Action Academy, we’ll talk about issues such as health care, taxes and the state budget, and education – and we’ll talk about how those issues impact the daily lives of kids and families all over the state. Then, we’ll go a step further – we’ll show you ways that YOU can make a difference, through your actions and your voice. When you’re done, you’ll be ready to spring into action as a superhero advocate!
How to talk to your legislators
Creating your advocacy “elevator speech”
How to call your elected officials (spoiler alert: you’ll get practice!)
How to use letters to the editor/op-eds to influence policy
How to build a relationship with your elected officials
There is no charge to attend. Hope you’ll join us for a fun, informative, ACTION-PACKED morning!
