Urban Shield Blue Ribbon Panel

Please join us on Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the South Berkeley Senior Center for a blue ribbon panel on reforming Urban Shield.
Our distinguished panelists are as follows: David Muhammad, Reggie Lyles, Tracy Rosenberg, and Elliot Hosman.

David Muhammad is a leader in the fields of criminal justice, violence prevention, and youth development. He currently works as the National Director of Justice Programs at the National Council on Crime and Deliquency. He formerly served as the Chief Probation Officer of the Alameda County Probation Department.

Reggie Lyles is a retired police executive from Berkeley PD. He helped reform Berkeley police during the 70s and 80s and is an expert on policing.

Tracy Rosenberg is the executive director of Media Alliance, the oldest media advocacy nonprofit organization in the country. She is a public policy advocate and has published op-eds and blogs widely across the region and country.

Elliot Hosman is a law and policy writer, and advocate for underserved communities in the Bay Area.
