Remembrance Week

Free and Open to the Public. The Martin Luther King, Jr. NHP will observe the 50th Anniversary of Dr. King’s assassination with special programming, during Remembrance Week, April 4 -9, 2018. Special Programs will include: April 4, 2018, Opening of exhibit in the DREAM Gallery in the Visitor Center at 9:30 AM, Continuous Open House Tours of the Birth Home of Dr. King throughout the day, commemorative program at 5:30 at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, followed by a wreath laying at 6:01 PM. April 9, 2018 there will be a commemorative service at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Heritage Sanctuary. Seating is invitation only, however it will be live streamed inside the park’s Visitor Center and at the Horizon Ebenezer Baptist Church. A commemorative march will begin after the ceremony, will start at 12 noon from the Ebenezer Baptist Church and will conclude at Morehouse College. Following the march there will be a “love for humanity program” and a “inspirtainment” event at Morehouse College.
