Trading Places: A Poverty Simulation

Walk a Mile in the Shoes of a Person Living in Poverty!

GBM’s Trading Places Poverty Simulation is an interactive experience aimed at helping the community more fully understand the experience of poverty. It involves participants who take on the roles of members of families, all facing a variety of challenging, but typical, circumstances every day. The simulation takes participants through unique exercises and tasks to provide food, shelter and other basic necessities during the course of a simulated month in four 15-minute “weeks”.
