Rebel with a Cause
For our 16th Rebel with a Cause, we are thrilled to honor LaDonna Brave Bull Allard, Historian of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and founder of the Sacred Stone Camp during the DAPL protests in South Dakota. Ms. Allard’s establishment of the Sacred Stone Camp on her tribe’s property served as a catalyst for bringing the DAPL protests to national recognition. We’re honored to recognize her work to preserve her tribe’s rich history and to protect clean water in the face of insurmountable odds. We will also award a Legislator of the Year (soon to be announced) and celebrate the strength of Colorado’s conservation community with friends, supporters, and advocates.
