Better Future Project Fall Kickoff Retreat

Better Future Project is hosting a Fall Kickoff Retreat for students who attend college/university in Massachusetts. Students must be actively involved in, or committed to starting, an on-campus campaign whose goal is to address climate change and/or the fossil fuel industry (such as fossil fuel divestment).

PURPOSE: To have students create a plan for the campaign to start strong in the fall in terms of recruitment, planning meetings, and setting structure. As such, campaigns should send *at least* 2 representatives they trust to draft the campaign’s recruitment plan for the fall.

– Provide trainings on outreach and recruitment;
– Connect students from different campuses and share ideas, questions, and best practices;
– Have attendees leave the retreat with 1) a draft fall recruitment plan that they will bring back to their campaign, and 2) a potential date set for their first campaign strategy session.

COST: There is no cost to participate, but a sliding scale donation of $10-75 per person is requested in order to offset the cost of food and the venue.

DEADLINE: The deadline to submit this form is end of FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST (deadline extended). Space is limited so submit this form as soon as possible to have the best chance of reserving a spot.
