Solutions for Kansas City’s Affordable Housing Crisis – A Dialog

Michael Duffy is an Attorney with Legal Aid of Western Missouri in Kansas City. He received his B.S. from Tufts University in 1970 and his J.D. from Antioch School of Law in 1977. Mr Duffy has served as the Managing Attorney of Legal Aid’s Economic Development Division since 1977.

Mr Duffy developed his legal practice around representing client groups, with an emphasis on transactional matters creating or rehabilitating affordable housing in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He has represented community groups, community development organizations and neighborhood associations to create or rehabilitate older, low-income housing, secure municipal services, and assist tenant organizations and neighborhood associations. He is the former Chair of the Kansas City Civil Rights Commission and former Chair of the Kansas City Redevelopment Authority.
