Disaster Housing Recovery Coalition’s Congressional Briefing

The National Low Income Housing Coalition and the Disaster Housing Recovery Coalition invite you to join us for a Congressional Briefing on “The State of Disaster Housing Recovery: Tools and Resources Needed To Ensure Equitable Recovery.”

Friday, January 12, 2018
Congressional Visitors Center
Senate Room 209
10:00am to 11:00am

Recent hurricanes and wildfires have devastated families and communities throughout Florida, Puerto Rico, Texas, Georgia, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and California. After providing an update on federal housing recovery efforts in their communities, the panelists will discuss top priorities for the next emergency disaster supplemental, including the tools and resources needed to ensure that federal housing recovery efforts reach the lowest income – and most vulnerable – households, who are often the hardest-hit by disasters and have the fewest resources to recover afterwards.
