“In the beginning… a group of community volunteers organized a Pride Family Picnic in the Spring of 2005 at Sandhill Crane Park in Port St. Lucie. While only expecting a couple hundred people, nearly 1,000 people showed up to support the comminty. The attendance blew us away! In 2006, Treasure Coast Pride, Inc., a 501(c)3 charity, was founded as a way to give-back to the Treasure Cooast LGBT community, organize PrideFest, and help support other local charities whose mission was to serve the LGBT community.

In response to the great support and attendance we received in 2005, PrideFest 2006 and 2007 were held at South County Regional Stadium.

By 2008, the organization transitioned and was reformed as Pride of the Treasure Coast, Inc.

The City of Port St. Lucie opened the City Center / Civic Center in 2009 and Treasure Coast PrideFest 2009 was the first private-contracted event held at the new Village Square, part of the City Center, located on US1 in the middle of Port St. Lucie. At this location, Pridefest grew and improved from 2009 through 2016.

In the years leading up to 2015, the volunteer board of directors began to shift their focus to answer the needs of the community. Born from that focus is the goal of “ONE Treasure Coast”, a physical community center to serve the local LGBT members through support meetings, resources, and a space for the community to gather. We contine to raise funds for other organizations, Pridefest, and we are conintuing to support the goal of ONE Treasure Coast.

Which brings us to 2017! Due to space restrictions outside of our control, the descision was made to move Treasure Coast PrideFest back to the Stadium where we are able to spread out, and provide more options and support to our attendees and vendors.

Through the past 12 years, Treasure Coast Pridefest has maintained a small hometown feel. We pride (Lol) ourselves in continuing to offer a family-friendly, local, volunteer-organized festival for our friends, family and allies here on the Treasure Coast.

We hope you all come and enjoy yourself BACK AT THE STADIUM for the 13th annual Treasure Coast PrideFest 2017, Sunday April 30, 2017 – 12:00 noon – 6:00 p.m.”

Supporting our continued vision of ONE Treasure Coast; a community and social center offering support, resources, events and more to the local LGBT community.
