Voices of Incarceration: Spoken Word, Art and Dialogue about Mass Incarceration is a program that combines multiple forms of artistic expression to create a space for creative responses and thought provoking conversations about mass incarceration and its impact on our community.

Hosted by Mariah Ivey and featuring 4 local poets, Individuals affected by Mass Incarceration and local organizations, this event looks to bring together indivduals, resources and avenues to produce change.

This event is done in partnership with The New School Humanities Action Lab, the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Institue of Museum and Library Sciences, IUPUI Museum Studies Department, IUPUI Social Justice Education Department’s SpeakOUT Cafe, IUPUI Liberal Arts Department, Indiana Medical History and the Indianapolis Public Library
