Lakeland and Promo invite you to engage in an interactive workshop presented by Karis Agnew and Dan Stewart from PROMO. Karis and Dan will discuss additions made to Lakeland’s policies in regards to LGBT patient rights, why the additions were made, and answer encourage conversation involving our LGBT community.

This training is designed to be interactive, and educational, with the goals of providing participants a framework, rooted in the fundamentals of language, about lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender patients and community members; provide a baseline of knowledge about the LGBT population which increases practitioner level of comfort and decreases LGBT health disparities; ensure all participants have the resources and support to create an affirming and welcoming space for all, but especially LGBT patients and staff.
