Organizing for Alison Hartson 2018 at San Diego Campaign Office

This event will be a dual event both for those individuals that want to phone bank and for those that want to canvass! Below is information on what to bring depending on what it is that you want to do!Our San Diego Campaign Field Office is in Little Italy! Join me to learn how to phone bank, canvass, and text voters. The office is open 7 days a week, including evenings! For access after 5pm or on weekends, text Abby Bateman, 858-736-4675. If you have any questions, please contact reach out.Directions and Meet-up Info: Parking in Little Italy has many options. There is a trolley stop 3 blocks away and public transportation or ride sharing is advised. There is 2 hour paid parking, 2 hour free parking, and free all day parking in the area. The best parking is on State St. The office is on India in a co-working space, DeskHub. Please reach out if you have any questions.PHONE BANKING: Justice Democrats candidate for U.S. Senate, Alison Hartson in California, needs our help talking to voters in our state. Please join us to make calls – it’s easy, fun, rewarding, and you’ll get to meet like-minded community members. You don’t need to know everything about the campaign or be an issue expert to make a huge difference.WHAT TO BRING: A laptop is required to use our phone banking system (bring your charger). We highly recommend headphones. You can make calls from your laptop and smartphone, so please bring both. Don’t forget to invite a friend.CANVASSING: Real change requires a bit more effort, and nothing beats face-to-face voter contact for letting people know about Alison Hartson. Alison won’t be able to outspend her opponents but she can win…. WE can win by having meaningful conversations with democratic voters at their own doorsteps. The script, maps, and detailed instructions will be provided, and we’ll pair you up with an experienced canvasser before you knock your first door.WHAT TO BRING: A smartphone is highly recommended (bring your phone charger). If you have a clipboard and pens, please bring that and a friend or two. We also recommend wearing comfortable shoes, sunblock, and a hat. Pay attention to the weather before our event so that you can adjust accordingly.
