Door Bell Training with Rep. John Lovick
As we have been discussing for several weeks, progressive change has got to happen at the local level. We are very grateful to our member Howard Lazzarini for securing Representative John Lovick to give us training on effective doorbelling. It is imperative people RSVP this event because space is limited!
Here is the bio from his website:
John Lovick served as a State Trooper for 31 years and was named Trooper of the Year in 1992. He also served a total of 13 years in the United States Coast Guard, including time patrolling the waters off Alaska.
He was elected to the Mill Creek City Council, where he served as Mayor Pro Tem, then served for 9 years in the House of Representatives, including five years as Speaker Pro Tem.
While in the House, he pushed for the Primary Seat Belt Law, which boosted seat belt use from 81 percent to 97 percent, and sponsored the Auto Theft Task Force law that helped reduce car thefts in Washington state.
Lovick was elected as Snohomish County Sheriff (2007-2013) and later Snohomish County Executive.
He was appointed in 2016 to the House of Representatives to fill the seat of Rep. Hans Dunshee.
A long-time resident of Mill Creek and a Snohomish County resident for 38 years, Lovick is married to a retired teacher. He is a youth basketball, baseball and football coach and still volunteers each week at the same elementary school where his children attended.
