This class is for anyone who wishes to save money by growing their own food, animal rights and vegan activists, gardening aficianados who want to learn more abou the growing trends of veganic gardening and environmentalists concerned about the carbon footprint of trucking food from long-distances. Through this class you will learn what veganic gardening is, the brief history of gardening in Southern California, composting and vegan fertilizer, and resources for local gardeners. Class will include tasting of fresh garden grown vegetables, hands on experience, and take home items to begin your own veganic garden.
Class appropriate for 12 and up, space wheelchair accessible.
