New Haven Clean Energy Rally

The CT Dept. of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) and the Public Utilities Regulatory Agency (PURA) are holding a public hearing on their revised draft Comprehensive Energy Strategy for Connecticut Thurs, Sept. 7th in New Haven. Unfortunately, the draft plan fails to put us on track to achieve our climate goals. Not only does the CES perpetuate CT’s dependence on fracked gas and outdated nuclear power, it also stifles forward-thinking clean energy options like Community Solar and Virtual Net Metering.

Join CCE, 350CT, CFE, Sierra Club and others as we rally for an energy plan that truly reduces Connecticut’s carbon footprint, modernizes our energy grid and helps advance our clean energy goals! The rally starts at 6pm at the CT Agricultural Experiment Station, and will be followed by a public hearing on the draft CES at 6:30pm. Have your voice heard on why a clean, fossil-free energy future is important to you! For more information about the plan check out CCE’s action alert
