What do you call a Drosophila that likes to drink? A bar fly! Who says scientists don’t party? Join a network of area science-lovers, activists, and bar flies for an energizing evening of music and merriment under the Park Tavern Garden Tent for the Official March for Science Atlanta Kick-Off Party!!
Open bar and food served throughout the evening while you stimulate your mind through conversation, guest speakers, and musical entertainment by singer-songwriter Michael Tolcher (MichaelTolcher.com) accompanied by O.A.R. keyboardist Mikel Paris (MikelParis.com) and drummer Tick Tock Terry.
Ticket price includes food, open bar, entertainment, and access to raffles, contests, silent auctions, cornhole, and giant Jenga in the Piedmont Park meadow.
All proceeds benefit the March for Science Atlanta organization made up of citizens and scientists who will stand up for data-driven policy making on Earth Day, April 22, with a march and rally in Atlanta due to recent concerns by science leaders who claim scientific evidence that informs critical issues, such as vaccine safety and climate change is being rejected or ignored by the current administration.
