Green Night: Business Model for Green & Healthy Homes
For the first time ever, WMGC is parterning with the Building Performance Institute (BPI) to offer continuing education units at one of our Green Night events. Join us on September 13th to learn and enjoy a drink or meal while also earning credit towards your BPI certifications.
This presentation will touch on the issues affecting healthy homes, the role of the contractor in providing healthy home assessments, and how these assessments can help grow and expand contractor businesses.
Demand is growing for the BPI Healthy Home Evaluator (HHE) certification. More public health programs across the country, and private consumers, are calling for preventative home health assessments, with costs covered by public benefit funds or health insurers. Business opportunities lie in asthma and respiratory infection home assessments, aging-in-place elderly home assessments, and more.
BPI and the Green & Healthy Homes Initiative, together with a broad team of subject matter experts, created the HHE certification to meet these demands, with the goal of breaking the link between unhealthy housing and unhealthy families through home performance interventions.
