Transgender Day of Remembrance Broward
Join us for a VIGIL & MARCH in Downtown Fort Lauderdale on Transgender Day of Remembrance!
November 20th is Transgender Day of Remembrance (or “TDOR”) which is a day dedicated to honoring our transgender family around the world who have lost their lives to transphobia. The trans community endures hate crimes and suicidality at alarming rates and disparities which can take tolls on our community’s mental health and general well being. This day is an opportunity to come together, heal, vent, and honor our community by taking action & to the streets.
Fort Lauderdale Food not Bombs & our allies seek to create a safe, comfortable, accessible, and impactful event for the local trans community on this important day. We will start with a vigil at Bubier Park/Huizenga Plaza (address listed above) and continue the night with a march through downtown.
Event/march route wheelchair accessible. More details TBA
