Inclusive Dubuque, Indivisible Dubuque and members of other social justice organizations are planning an educational event at Town Clock Plaza on Sunday, September 10 at 2 pm. The event will include a 30-minute educational program with information about the impact on our community and throughout the country- if DACA is repealed.
“The Inclusive Dubuque Network recognizes that in this time of uncertainty regarding DACA, there are many organizations who are well-suited to educate people about DACA,” Dr. Katrina Neely Farren-Eller, Inclusive Dubuque Coordinator said. “This is more than a human rights issue which will not only impact millions of people in communities where Dreamers call home: it sends a devastating message regarding intolerance.”
During the program, speakers will talk about DACA policy, the local impact of repealing the program and have information available for those who would like protect DACA.
The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
