The political education core will lead our discussion on the building blocks of anti-racist analysis, focusing on how to share this analysis with our friends, family, and colleagues.

We are taught not to see the institutional and cultural nature of racism, including the policies, practices, and cultural beliefs that systematically target People of Color while benefiting white people and groups. At our August Mass Meeting, we will discuss how we can share the principles of an anti-racist analysis and expose systemic racism in conversations with other white folks.

In small group breakouts, we will discuss common comments we hear in our lives that deny the systemic nature of racism. We will develop some shared responses we can use to engage and open up conversations that help others develop an anti-racist analysis.
