Vessels: A Human Journey Art Exhibition Roanoke

You’re invited to Planned Parenthood South Atlantic’s preview night of “Vessels: A Human Journey” exhibition by award-winning artist James Glass. The night’s exhibition will be co-hosted and curated by Fleda A. Ring Artworks, featuring notable artwork by Glass, winner of the Roanoke College 2017 Biennial at Olin Gallery.

About the Exhibition:
Glass’ work features photographs that portray the zeitgeist of the human condition. These pictures show us in our current lives and deaths as part of a great chain of evolving vessels. We employ modern medicine and cutting-edge information to maintain our health and better understand the world around us. In the current state of our world, we must stand for human rights and end inequity.

Planned Parenthood is one such harbinger, providing compassionate care and factual information to everyone who walks through our doors — no matter what.

Through a selection of new works, Glass takes a look at human vulnerability in the environment and as decision-makers, as well as how our vulnerability speaks to the importance of community health partners like Planned Parenthood South Atlantic.
