Celebrate Two Spirit Work in Indian Country!
The Tribal Equity Toolkit 3.0: Tribal Resolutions and Codes to Support Two Spirit and LGBTQ Justice in Indian Country is the first of its kind—providing sample legal language for adapting tribal resolutions and codes to recognize the rights of all tribal citizens. A third edition of the toolkit was published in March with the support of a growing coalition of national organizations convened by Western States Center and the Center for American Progress. Alongside Creating Change 2018, Western States Center and Center for Native American Youth at the Aspen Institute will be hosting a celebration with all our national partners and YOU!
When: Friday, January 26, 7pm – 9pm
Where: Buffalo Billiards, 1330 19th St NW, Washington, DC 20036
RSVP Today! Click here: https://goo.gl/4bAkNF
Heavy hors d’oeuvres served, no-host bar – this is a 21+ event.
What: Western States Center would like to honor all of the national partners who spent hundreds of staff hours to edit and create this edition of the toolkit – please join us in celebrating this work and hear about what’s next! Western States Center is the home of Uniting Tribal Communities – a project that works with tribes in the west on Two Spirit and LGBT Justice, lead by Se-ah-dom Edmo.
