The 25th Annual African American Cultural & Heritage Festival

The 25th Annual African American Cultural & Heritage Festival will be held August 18-20, 2017. The Festival theme will be,”Honoring Our Past and Present and Celebrating our Future”.

Friday, August 18th

7:00 – 8:00 PM, Gospel Extravaganza, The Chosen Vessels, at the Betty Roper Auditorium, Wright Denny School (sponsored by the Skinner Law Firm)

7:00 – 10:00 PM, Youth Block Party, festival ground on S Lawrence St / Martin Delany Ave, (sponsored by the Jefferson County NAACP Youth Chapter)

Saturday, August 19th

12:00 Noon, Parade Kickoff
Special Attractions: The Baltimore Christian Warrier Marching Unit, The Infinity Marching Unit, Miss West Virginia

2:00 PM, Opening Ceremony
2:00 PM, Begin free pony rides and moon bounce
2:15 – 4:00 PM, Local talent and demonstrations including a demonstration, Changs Tae Kwon Do
Music: The Berry’s
African Jewel Fashion Highlights coordinated by Yimbi and Christelle
Music: The Velez’s Steppers Berkeley County
4:00 – 4:45 PM: Local R&B Band, Over the Top
