Evanston Bus/es to Springfield to Advocate for Sensible Gun Laws

Calling on Evanstonians to join us to board buses to the Capitol in Springfield to join Moms Demand Action’s Advocacy Day February 28. We will push for sensible gun legislation and have our voices heard.

Thoughts and prayers and Facebook posts are not enough. It’s time to act.

The more of us who show up, the stronger and louder our message.

***NOTE: Thank you to generous Evanston residents, we have EIGHT sponsorships for anyone who’d like to join us but is prohibited by ticket cost!***
Just email dearevanston@gmail.com and let us know you want to come!

****Thanks to a generous donation from the Evanston Community Foundation, we will have coffee and donuts at departure.***

Let’s do this for young people who are victims of gun violence every single day in Chicago and for people around the country who have been victims of mass shootings for far too long.

This trip is dedicated to all our Evanston youth who have been victims of gun violence, to the 249 people who have been shot in Chicago since Jan. first, to the 17 victims of the mass shooting in Florida, and to all the other victims who get shot EVERY SINGLE day in this country.

The person round-trip ticket will be approx. $50–assuming the bus is full; the final price is determined by how many people sign up for the bus.

We understand it’s a work day so this trip may be hard for some people to join. If you can, we need your voice!
