Morning: Compassion Fatigue: Building Awareness and Self-Care Planning in Helping Professionals (Part 1), 3 CEs, 9-12pm The morning’s presentation will focus on defining compassion fatigue and other work-related stress conditions. We will explore how these conditions manifest, signs and symptoms, and research regarding prevalence and implications for practice. We will also discuss the legal and ethical risks associated with untreated work stress conditions. Towards the end of the morning session, we will begin completing self-assessments to ascertain individual levels of professional well-being.
Afternoon: Compassion Fatigue: Building Awareness, Self-Care Planning in Helping Professionals (Part 2), 3 CEs, 1-4pm
The afternoon’s presentation will continue with the completion of the self-assessment inventories. (Afternoon-only attendees will need to complete in advance). Jennie will assist participants in understanding their outcomes and the implications for self-care. She’ll address further education on resiliency building and how to bolster well-being in our professional lives. The results of the self-assessments will be integrated into a personalized self-care plan.
